1) Can I transfer my No Claims Bonus from a private car policy? 
Many of our schemes allow you to transfer your No claims Bonus from a private car over to your Taxi insurance.

2) Does public hire use include private hire? 
Yes. Private Hire can only be pre-booked. Public Hire (Hackney Carriage) enables the driver to be hailed, operate at a Taxi
Rank and can be pre-booked.
3) Can a 'non taxi badged' individual be included to drive for Social Domestic & Pleasure cover? 
No. Legally, in England and Wales, any person who is not 'badged' (i.e. does not have an official license) drives a licensed
private or public hire (Hackney) vehicle, he/she is committing an offence. This applies even if all plate/signs etc indentifying
the vehicle as a licensed taxi are removed from the vehicle. The only exception is for road testing purposes after servicing or
repairs have been carried out. These operators will have their own 'Motor Trade' Policy.
4) Can I pay for my Taxi policy in instalments? 
Yes, for many policies and drivers we can allow payment by instalments (typically over 10 months). Please speak to our

5) What is a 'licensed' private hire driver? 
A driver who has been issued by a relevant licensing authority, typically these are local councils.
6) Can I add extra vehicles to an existing policy?

7) Can I suspend cover on a policy?

8) Can I temporarily add a 'non-plated' or a 'licensed vehicle' be added to a taxi policy? 
No, the taxi policy covers only one vehicle. Additionally, the policy will only cover licensed vehicles.
9) How do I go about getting 'licensed'?
