Risk Type There are two basic motor trade insurance types available. These are Road Risk and Combined Insurance Road Risk simply covers the vehicles that are owned by the Insurance Policy Holder. Named drivers will be covered under this insurance policy, where applicable however the insured vehicles need to be owned by the policy holder(s). Vehicles that are in the name of the named driver(s) will NOT be covered. Combined Insurance will provide insurance cover for both vehicles and for premises. Not only the building can be covered with insurance but also tools can be covered. These tools can be wenches, inspection platforms, diagnostic tools, computers. It is always wise to understand what cover is provided with your tools, be it theft, breakage etc.
